How it works

From checkout to a working overlay network

Your instance is created automatically as soon as payment goes through. Most people have their first devices connected within half an hour.

Pick a name and subscribe

Choose a subdomain, for example acme.nebulacdr.net, and pay with Stripe Checkout.
We create your instance

Your instance gets its own containers, its own database and certificate authority, a sign-in realm and an HTTPS certificate. This usually takes a minute or two.
Set your password

You'll get an email with a link to set your password. That account is the instance administrator.
Create a network and a lighthouse

Create a Nebula network in the web UI and add a lighthouse: any machine you control with a public IP address and UDP port 4242 open. A small VPS is enough.
Enroll your devices

Install the ncclient on Linux, Windows or macOS from pkgs.nebulacommander.com or the Downloads page in your instance, then enroll each device with a one-time code.
Invite your team

Invite users, delegate network ownership, and manage groups and firewall rules from the web UI.

Where things run

The Nebula Commander web UI and API, its database and certificate authority, and the sign-in service.

Lighthouses, relays and every node. Encrypted Nebula traffic goes directly between your devices.
